And why we believe it’s the most ethical way to breed
At Beach View Doodles, we’re proud to raise our dogs with love, respect, and purpose. One of the ways we uphold these values is through our Guardian Home Programme — a model we believe represents the most ethical and responsible path for conscientious dog breeding.
What Is a Guardian Dog?
Great question — and one I love to answer, because the guardian home model is at the heart of how I breed dogs and why I do it the way I do.
A guardian dog is one of our breeding dogs who lives full-time with a loving family, not in a kennel. These dogs are placed in carefully selected homes where they are treated as cherished family members. They live normal, happy lives — playing in the garden, cuddling up on the sofa, going on adventures, and forming strong bonds with their people.
While they are part of our breeding programme, they only return to us temporarily for health testing, breeding, or to raise a litter. After their breeding career ends (which is short and carefully managed), they are spayed or neutered and remain with their guardian family forever.

Honestly, the guardian programme is something I feel really strongly about, and here’s why:
We’re grateful to the amazing families who partner with us as guardian homes, and we’re always happy to talk to prospective guardians or puppy buyers about how the programme works. If you’re curious about becoming a guardian home or just want to learn more about our approach, please feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to share what I believe in — because at the end of the day, it’s all about raising incredible dogs in the most respectful, loving way possible.
At Beach View Doodles, we’re not just focused on raising amazing Labradoodles and Sheepadoodles — we’re just as committed to making sure every dog lives a full, happy, and enriched life. That’s why the guardian model means so much to us.
